Changing Landscapes @ Dayton Art Institute
Changing Landscapes is the first exhibition of contemporary Chinese fiber art to travel to the United States and features 45 works by 48 artists. Co-curated by Ni Yue-Hong, a professor at the Fiber Arts Institute of the Academy of the Arts & Design at Tsinghua University in Beijing and Deborah Corsini, curator of The San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles, Changing Landscapes showcases works from five biennial international fiber art exhibitions organized and hosted by Tsinghua University. The exhibition represents a snapshot of how three generations of artists working in fiber media are documenting, navigating, and responding to the tremendous economic, political, and social changes that have transformed China over the past decade.Links & Tags
