Tippapalooza, the annual music festival in Tipp City, presents talented recording artists from the Miami Valley at an event known for an entertaining evening of music, good food, and craft beer all for the benefit of local charities.
Tippapalooza celebrates its 11th year in 2023
For 2023, Tippapalooza has a new location for the festival in beautiful, historic downtown Tipp City on South Second Street where it intersects Main Street. The festival will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023, from 5 pm to 11 pm, with proceeds benefitting CASA/GAL of Miami County.
Once again, Tippapalooza delivers an eclectic lineup of recording artists spanning a diverse spectrum of musical styles:
M Ross Perkins will headline the festival with his melodic tunes and musical magic. His latest album, E Pluribus M Ross, available on Colemine/Karma Chief Records, is a collection of 12 shimmering slices of purely perfect psychedelic pop.
Heather Redman and The Reputation blend elements of garage, rock & roll, and soul together with the grit of their Dayton home to form a sound that is simultaneously fresh and familiar. Heather and her bandmates have played key roles in numerous Dayton-area bands, including Neo American Pioneers, Late Night Drivers, C. Wright’s Parlour Tricks, The Professors, The New Old-Fashioned, Shrug, and Human Cannonball.
Veterans of the Midwest rock scene, The 1984 Draft channels American rock sensibilities through a ‘90s-tinted punk and indie lens. Their latest LP, Best Friends Forever, was released in January via Poptek Records.
Ohio emcee TINO enlightens and entertains with his brilliant rhyme schemes, unique flows, and subjects ranging from personal to universal. A member of Sidekick Complex and one half of hip-hop duo Safe Money, TINO will bring his electric rapping style to the Tippapalooza stage backed by a DJ and turntable.
Proceeds from Tippapalooza 2023 will stay in the community through a donation to CASA/GAL of Miami County (miamicountycasa.org). CASA/GAL of Miami County’s mission is to provide dedicated volunteers who advocate in court for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect.
Tippapalooza’s Platinum Sponsor this year is Chaffee’s Brewhouse. The Tipp City Foundation is the festival’s Gold Sponsor. Silver Level sponsors are The Tipp City Chamber of Commerce, Lock 27 Brewery, and WYSO Public Radio. Bronze Sponsors are Bishko Books, Bash Foo, and Mosquito Joe of Miami Valley.
Tippapalooza was created by a group of local friends and musicians with the desire to play music, promote local talent, and benefit local charities. These goals culminated in the first Tippapalooza festival to Tipp City in 2012.
