Chinese Orchestral Quintet
Please join us to celebrate our 3rd year anniversary of Shen's. We will host a complementary Chinese Musical Event from 6pm on Saturday of Sept 20, 2014. Musicians performing include Ms Ming Ke and the husband-and-wife team of Zhengang Xie Mei Hu. Listen to the Pipa, a four-stringed Chinese instrument with a history that dates to 200 B.C.; the Guzheng, an ancestor of several Asian zither instruments; the Yangqin, a Chinese hammered Dulcimer; the Erhu, a violin-type two-stringed instrument; the Yueqin, a lute-like instrument with a round, hollow wooden body; and the Jinghu, also a two-stringed fiddle.
