Responding to Our Nation’s Call
According to the President’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, the National
Academy of Engineering, and industry leaders nationwide, the future of U.S. global
competitiveness will depend largely on our ability to increase the number, caliber, and diversity of our engineering and computer science workforce.

Wright State University’s College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) is leading the way with our innovative approach to student success, producing more, better-prepared engineers and computer scientists. Our partnerships with area businesses both advance knowledge and bring outstanding research and internship opportunities to Wright State University.

Through these efforts, we will capitalize on these advances and strengthen academics, offering nationally recognized programs in the most up-to-date facilities. We will be the first choice for students interested in engineering and computer science. And we will be viewed as the primary anchor of innovation and entrepreneurship for Dayton and the Miami Valley.
