Baby Hudson Blood Drive

The “Baby Hudson Blood Drive” is Saturday April 19th from 7a.m.-12p.m. Downtown at the Community Blood Center located at 349 South Main Street, Dayton. Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment at www.DonorTime.com.

Hudson was nearly three months old when diagnosed with nueroblastoma, a cancer of the nerve tissues that is the most common type of cancer in infants. Hudson is undergoing chemotherapy and his treatment has included hemoglobin and platelet transfusions. His parents Steve and Andrea Marshall support the blood drive as a way of thanking blood donors and supporting cancer patients. “When you give blood and platelets, it may seem like a small donation to you,” said the Marshalls, “but to us, it is life.”

CBC is offering the “Take Me Out to the Blood Drive” t-shirt as a donor gift to everyone who registers to donate Monday, March 24 through Saturday, May 3 at any CBC Donor Center and most CBC mobile blood drives.

We have had some amazing sponsors who have donated to this event for the raffles. I would like to thank Earth Fare,Country Inn and Suites, Sinclair Baseball,Skyline , Big League Haircuts,Scentsy www.lizd.scentsy.us, Pourhaus, Olympia Health Foods, The Children's Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation and Archers.
