Vanguard Concerts has presented an international chamber music series at The Dayton Art Institute since 1962. Vanguard brings the world’s top chamber music ensembles and soloists to The Dayton Art Institute. Over the years, Vanguard has presented more than 250 performances, involving more than 1,200 musicians from every corner of the world, who have performed an extensive variety of works, from Elizabethan times to the dawn of this century. One thing they all have had in common, from the very beginning – they have represented the highest standards of world class musicianship.
After 54 years at The DAI, the Vanguard Concerts series will come to a close in 2016. We will bid farewell to Vanguard with a three-concert grand finale season in the spring.
