Rachel Platten at The Fraze

A vibrant singer and songwriter of uplifting pop anthems, Massachusetts native Rachel Platten started piano lessons at age four and began writing songs while in college. While finishing a degree in international relations in 2003, she self-released an R&B album titled Trust in Me, and eventually obtained a record label internship while abroad in Trinidad in 2005. During her stay, she sang backup for a band performing before large crowds throughout the Caribbean and determined to try to make a career in music, she moved to New York City in 2006.

Rachel Platten’s story isn’t atypical. After more than a decade toiling away in the trenches of mainstream pop, she finally had her planets align in 2015 with the release of “Fight Song.” This inspirational slice of pop turned into a genuine phenomenon, the result of good timing and hard work.

With her third full-length album, Wildfire, released earlier this year, Rachel Platten will sweep across the nation with a new tour, including a stop at Fraze Pavilion. Wildfire is fueled by other songs including “Stand by Me,” “Hey Hey Hallelujah,” “Angels in Chelsea,” “Lone Ranger,” and “You Don’t Know My Heart.”
