A Holiday Wish from the Animals

Homeless for the holidays. That's the plight of far too many animals in Miami Valley. If these animals could talk, they'd tell you their one wish is to find a loving home and family.

But thanks to your kindness and compassion, you can help animals like Brady find a forever home!

Brady was brought to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton because his human mom had recently married and learned her stepson was allergic to dogs. She was devastated to part with her beloved pup, but she knew it was for the best.

The transition was difficult at first. Brady didn't like to be alone in his kennel and needed lots of exercise. But our volunteers were patient with him, and gave him plenty of attention and opportunities to play.

Not long after he was put up for adoption, a mom with two teenage boys came in looking for a dog. Soon Brady and his new "brothers" were romping around the floor as if they had always known each other. He had found his forever home just in time for the holidays!

Today Brady is happy with his new family. But many other animals in our community aren't as lucky. They need your help today to find a loving home this winter.

Our 2014 Holiday Fund Drive is going on now to help care for these local animals. This is your chance to give a gift to make the holidays better for helpless cats and dogs, and ensure they all find homes in the coming year.

Your generous support is needed to help care of vulnerable cats, dogs and other animals in our community.

  • $30 can provide food to homeless animals
  • $50 can provide lifesaving vaccinations and medical care
  • $100 can provide safe shelter for animals in need

Any gift will help save lives. Thank you for opening your heart to make the holidays better for animals like Brady!
